Returns & Buyback Policies & Procedures
Online Merchandise Return Policy
- All returns/exchanges must be accompanied by a receipt... no receipt, no refund.
- Please report any damaged merchandise upon receipt.
- Items may be returned in person or by mail to: GFU Portland Center Store, 12753 SW 68th Ave., Portland, OR 97223. Please include a copy of your receipt, as well as your name, address and daytime phone number. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, and refunds are for merchandise only. In the event an exchange is made, the cost to ship the new product will be charged to the customer at the usual online rate.
Textbook Return Policy
- All returns/exchanges must be accompanied by a receipt... no receipt, no refund.
- Textbook returns are accepted the first week from the beginning of each semester (two days from beginning of May Term/Summer Sessions).
- Returns after the one week period are only accepted with an official drop slip and a receipt.
- Returned books must be in saleable condition. Damaged books will be refunded at the used price.
- Publisher shrink-wrapped materials must be returned unopened. If opened, they become non-returnable.
- Returns not meeting the above criteria must wait for Textbook Buyback.
- Textbook Buyback occurs the last three days of Fall and Spring semesters.
Textbook Purchase Guidelines
- If you are not sure whether you will be needing a book, wait until you have attended the first class session before you buy.
- Do not write in or highlight in a book until you are sure you will keep it.
- Do not unwrap a shrink-wrapped book unless you are sure you will keep it (most publishers will not accept returns on opened shrink-wrapped items).
- Check with a professor before purchasing "optional" texts.
